In 1975, Gretchen McGarry received the four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Prior to becoming a Clinical Instructor at the University of Central Oklahoma, she was in active practice in pediatric nursing in Kansas City, San Francisco and Oklahoma City.
Gretchen’s responsibilities for curriculum development, design of presentation materials and editing of lectures for domestic and international implant course participants preceded her work as Program Director for MII. A public advocate for dental education, Gretchen was the Chairperson of the state-of-the art dental exhibit at the Omniplex Science and Art Museum of Oklahoma City.
Clayton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Central Oklahoma. Prior to joining the McGarry Implant Institute, Clayton served in the nonprofit sector as a fundraiser, administrator and educator. He is also a certified LEGO Serious Play facilitator.
As CE manager, Clayton is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all educational courses for the McGarry Implant Institute. He will be your primary point of contact for all your questions and concerns during your educational experience.
Jamie brings her comprehensive knowledge of assisting and an intrinsic ability to teach to the McGarry Implant Institute. She has extensive experience assisting in prosthodontic and oral surgery practices and enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to learn implant surgery assistant skills when she was offered the opportunity at Implant and Prosthodontic Associates.
As the Implant Education Coordinator, she works closely with the Manager and Director in the planning and execution of our assistant education curriculum. She facilitates Session III course activities, lectures, and hands-on labs and ensures our assistant participants learn the skills needed to assist their doctors upon returning to their practice.
LaJuana comes to us with an extensive dental background. She has been a Certified Dental Assistant for 17 years and has experience in the specialty practices of prosthodontics, orthodontics and oral surgery. She has earned additional certifications in Coronal Polishing, Radiography, Orthodontics, Expanded Functions and Nitrous Oxide. LaJuana brings with her a background of dental assistant education from her tenure at Platt College and Oklahoma Health Academy where she held the positions of Dental Assisting Coordinator and Lab Instructor.
As our Implant Education Consultant, she utilizes her extensive knowledge and experience to further the assistants’ skills who attend the Implant Residency course. She is a valuable asset to our team and provides a distinctly professional educational experience.
